Why Chinmaya?

Chinmaya rests within the embrace of the Shivalik foothills of the Himalayas, sequestered far from the din and tumult of urban existence. The pristine environs and the most unadulterated air afford students the opportunity to re-establish their bond with nature, that quintessential foundation of life itself.

At Chinmaya, we adhere to the venerable Indian residential schooling paradigm, which fosters the child in a manner conducive to the harmonious cultivation of both emotional depth and intellectual acuity. This holistic maturation during the formative years erects the fundamental and enduring pillars upon which an entire lifetime is constructed.

The confluence of the ancient Indian Vedic pedagogical tradition with the contemporary educational framework empowers children to flourish in the tangible world. We do not merely invest “upon children”; rather, we invest “within children,” for they embody the destiny of humankind.
